Tittesworth Reservoir

Leave site northwest 3 miles towards Tittesworh turn left A53 then left and left again arriving at Reservoir Park in the grounds.

Tittesworth Reservoir is fed by the river Churnet and is set in the heart of Staffordshire Moorlands view the beautiful rolling countryside plus the Ramshaw Rocks and The Roaches a dramatic gritstone edge. Visit the visitors centre then explore the looped walk through the Fosters forest takes about an hour full of wildlife and birds. The grounds have several picnic areas try to find the Tittesworth Green Man.

Continue journey to Stone north 19 miles turn left A523 then 2nd right A520 travelling 16 miles into the town park were possible. Stroll in the market place and the canal side.

Stone

A market and canal town dated from the 7th century in Staffordshire named after a pile of stones taken from the river Trent which runs through it. Explore the historic buildings and market place with the 1753 St Michael’s church on the north side of the town. Must visit is the Trent and Mersey Canal within a beautiful and colourful setting, stroll along the banks and browse the old warehouses up to the Lock a place to stop and relax have a drinks watch the barges pass and our they  handle the lock.
