After 65 miles pull in at Fallon, in the Churchill County situated in the Lahontan Valley Wetland which is mostly a agricultural area surrounded by farms and ranches. Explore the old west dwellings and visit the Churchill County Museum and discover the local history. The area is home to the US Navy and the Paiute Shoshone Indian tribe.

Continue road trip for 110 miles and pull in at Austin founded in 1862, home of Silver mines being a real historic town of the old west situated on the western slopes of the Toiyabe Range. Well worth the stop people most friendly with much to explore discovering the old dwellings and scenic views. Close by still on the 50 highway is an 1896 three-story stone tower a listed building called the Stokes Castle.

Continue road trip for 70 miles pull into Eureka founded in 1864 situated in the Eureka County steeped in history with dwellings dating back to the early days and still being used. Places of interest are the Opera House built 1880, Jackson House Hotel built 1877, Raines Market and Wildlife Museum built 1877 plus the Newspaper Building built 1879 which houses the Sentinel Museum.

Continue road trip for 75 miles pull into Ely situated in White Pine County being an ex booming mining town and stage coach station on the pony express overland route, also known as the Ghost Train of old Ely. The railroad to Ely is preserved as a heritage railway. There are many attractions and old dwellings much to see at Downtown Ely. Book into the Motel 6 a nice clean room and facilities, and located just off the 50 highway and in easy reach of local amenities, eateries and many Casinos.
