Highway 95 to Yuma
Leave Motel road trip of 80 miles to arrive at Bullhead City, take in the views of the Hoover Dam when crossing the border of Nevada into Arizona travel north on Highway 80 for 3 miles then take Highway 95 south for 56 miles, turn left onto Route 163 for 21 miles into Bullhead.
Bullhead City is in the Mohave County, the Mojave Indian Tribe being the first settlers; it’s unique as the Colorado River divides Bullhead from Laghin in Nevada. It has many Casino Resorts which make this a great stopping point if gambling is your game and a river crossing ferry is in operation 24 hours every day.
Have a cruise round and discover the many delights of the Mohave Lake area situated on the River Colorado all on the Arizona and Nevada Border. Explore the Davis Dam, continue for 10 miles south on Highway 95 passing through Fort Mohave then another 56 miles passing Mohave Valley, Goose Lake and Park Moabi on the banks of Colorado River onto Lake Havasu City.
Lake Havasu City situated on the Lake and the old UK London Bridge as been reassembled after being disassembled in 1968 and shipped to the USA which opened in 1971 forming the London Bridge Resort. It contains many attractions of the old London theme, its well worth a visit.
Continue journey via Parker into Yuma on the Highway 95 for 155 miles and .stay over night book into the Days Inn on 16th street. There are lots to explore, the Historic Downtown and Riverside, where so many mementos can be found on Pottery Row. Visit the Sanguinetti House Museum check out the local history and enjoy the beautiful gardens with its famous Garden Cafe and Redondo Room Gift Shop. Finishing at the Old Town Wine Cellar, try a tasting. One place not to be missed is the old Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park most educational stroll round discovering the barbaric and gruesome conditions the prisons had to endure.
