View the famous landmark, the ruins of the Abbey located on the cliff top also on the West Cliff is the St Marys Church. Other points of interest are the Captain Cook Statue and the Museum. Sea trips are available from the harbour plus many sailing crafts to be viewed.
Resume journey north travel 20 miles A171 into Scarborough a town on the North Sea coast.
The largest seaside holiday resort on the Yorkshire coast with its old town being protected by a rocky headland located around the harbour. Stroll down the seafront view the harbour, cliff railway, castle and sea front shops plus the amusements. Visit the Rotunda 1829 grade II listed Jurassic collection Museum and the Scarborough Fair Collection Museum housing steam organs and showman’s engines.
Located away from the seafront a 1912 oriental themed municipal park a place to stroll and relax in the sitting areas. The park is set in tree walks with a boating lake and exhibitions plus home to wild life.
