Resume road trip to Tecate through desert areas, follow the Mexico 2D northwest for 35 miles into Tecade park and explore the area watch out for the street traders very pushy.

Tecate is home to Tecate Beer, Mexico’s most popular brew, plus in the production farm market products of Olives, Grapes and Grain. The famous Cuchuma Mountain and several hills plus mountains surround the city.

Resume road trip to Mexicali still in the Desert Plains, traveling 100 miles west on the Mexico 2 into the city, park and stroll around explore the area.

Capital of State of Baja California a modernised city retaining its history with old dwellings and churches. This a city with a agriculturally based industry specializing in vegetables and cotton and home to many large companies, Coca Cola, Nestles, Honeywell and Mitsubishi.

Resume road trip onto San Felipe on the Mexico 5 south for 130 miles going through dusty and dry countryside very baron land having sand domes on one side and mountain ranges on the other. Looks pretty run down with its broken shakes and homesteads falling apart. Noticed 2 unused fishing villages and a church looking brand new pass desert lakes then pull into Pete’s Camp stay over 2 nights.

San Felipe

Is a town on the Gulf of California situated in the Baja California having two distinct areas, the downtown sections of trading and Mexican merchandise shops being dirty and untidy. Then go into the tourist section completely different top class Hotel Resorts, a fine beach area, view the many boats set on the East Coast Sea of Cortes.  The beach at Pete’s Camp it very tidy and clean with a great beach bar plus many attractions a nice peaceful atmosphere.
