Arrive Minorca Airport then travel a short distance to Arenal and book for 1 week in a apartment complex and hired a car to discover the islands villages and coves.
A magnificent beachfront resort on the north coast with a circular crescent of fine sandy beach sat in its own cove. There are many attractions in the complex of coves with hillside bars and restaurants overlooking the bay and beach plus souvenir shops.
Also known as Port Mahon and the capital city famous for the Mahon traditional cheeses made from cows milk. It is located on the eastern side of Menorca, with a deep natural Harbour with delightful scenic views. Discover the remains of the Castle Saint Felip and the conserved Fort of La Mola.
The historic town with the delightful Menorca architecture in the small squares and cobbled narrow streets. View the 18th century Church of Santa Maria, the 1789 Town Hall with the statue of Saint Sebastian, and 1761 Can Mercadal Mission, now the library plus the remains of the old city walls. Take a stroll down the C/Isabel II elegant and attractive street crammed with 18th century mansions with bow windows, view the Franciscan Convent with the large white bell tower and take the various stairs and alleyways off the street.
A fishing village located in a bay surrounded by low mountains in the north region of Menorca take in the view of the old watch tower on the headlands just outside the village. The bay area is full of traditional fishing crafts used for catching lobster, surrounded by whitewashed houses and coves and beaches. Also the same type of place but smaller is Ferreries with its whitewashed houses and coastal views.
At the west end of Menorca with a beautiful port with the narrow inlet harbour surrounded by whitewashed houses and full of sailing boats viewed best from the main square. Visit the old quarter and see the 1287 Cathedral of Menorca, Town Hall, Palace Torre Saura and explore the attractions in the medieval narrow streets which is dominated in the centre of the square the defence Obelisk.
