Agios Nikolaos

A small coastal tourist town lactated on the Lake Voulismeni which is small with a circular shape situated in the centre of the town and connected to the harbour. This attractive Lagoon with a promenade features a small park with panoramic views of the harbour and traditional fishing boats. Being a tourist town it’s got the extra attraction of entertainment, bars and eateries plus a archaeological museum.

Lerapetra

Located on the southern coast, nicknamed the Bride of the Libyan Sea because of its position and being the only city on the south coast. It is steeped in history set in two periods having the old Venetain Kales Fortress from the 13th century built to protect the harbour. From the later period, around the 19th century can be found a medieval town with an 1856 church and Napoleons Residence, set in a medieval street layout of narrow alleyways, cul-de-sacs and small houses. The main shopping street named Koundouriotou, at its centre is the Town Hall and The Museum, at the Port are fishing boats featuring a small beach with bars and restaurants The Quay operates ferries and features hotels, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops and a promenade leading to the Bays long beach.
